Boundary Waters Timber Frame
Located on Clearwater lake off the Gun Flint Trail near Grand Marais, MN, this cabin was created with a variance allowing it to be constructed 60 feet from shore among a stand of cedar trees. The Owner was particularly interested in timber frame construction, simple expression and a small, efficient cabin.
The design features the timber frame, hand-crafted by Great Northern Woodworks, throughout the interior. In just under 1400 square feet, there are three bedrooms, 1.5 baths and vaulted spaces including a living room, dining area, kitchen and porch.
