Whitefish Cabin
An extensive remodel, Ironwood Cabin is located on the Whitefish lake chain near Pequot Lakes, MN. The Owners wanted to keep the existing fireplace and maintain the relation of the building to the land. All else was to be recreated with more light, more space and better function throughout.
The design solution centers on these desires as well as celebrating the Owner’s Scandinavian and Midwestern heritage through a series of details inspired by the work of Edwin Lundie. The new structure, which includes a second story, was built on the existing foundation with several additions.
